In a small bathroom, every little inch of space counts. We have three easy ways to make the space look bigger without compromising design or functionality.
Corner showers and bath tubs
Full-size showers and bath tubs take up a lot of space in a small bathroom. Freeing up floor space will make your small bathroom look much bigger. There are a lot of attractive styles and designs available to homeowners. Kohler has a clover-shaped tub if you are looking for more of a modern touch in your small bathroom. It has "plenty of room for two [and] features molded back supports and armrests for an ideal reclining position." If you're looking to add touches of luxury, you can add "BubbleMassage" or heated whirlpool features!Pedestal sinks
If you don't need the extra storage in your small bathroom, a pedestal sink is a great way to make the space look bigger. It has less of a footprint than a vanity and has long, sleek lines. If you have beautiful wall coverings or a tiled floor, it will not cover up any of those design features. They also pull together the look of a classic/traditional style. If you do desire more storage, consider hanging a vanity mirror cabinet above the sink.Glass shower doors
A small bathroom in a basement in Storrs CT before we remodeled it.One of our Storrs CT customers wanted to remodel the small bathroom in the basement. The current bathroom was outdated and had walls that closed in the space. They wanted it to be more open and accessible while still including a sink, toilet and shower.
We were able to complete a beautiful custom-tiled bathroom with a corner shower. Glass shower doors were chosen to keep the room open. Curtains or even a frosted shower door create the look of a wall and would have made the room appear smaller.
